(Post)colonial visualities intersected by Diamang\u2019s archive\u201d will take place on July 16, at 4 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The session \u201cThe Christian missions in the Portuguese colonies of Africa: submission and resistance to colonialism during the Estado Novo\u201d, will count on the participation of Friar Jos\u00e9 Nunes and will be moderated by Mois\u00e9s de Lemos Martins (CECS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Friar Jos\u00e9 Nunes<\/strong>&nbsp;was born on September 3, 1956, in Lisbon. He did his novitiate in the Dominican Convent of Toulouse in 1976-77. Friar Jos\u00e9 Nunes made his first profession in the Order of Preachers in 1977 and was ordained a priest in 1984. After obtaining a doctorate in Pastoral Theology at the Pontifical University of Salamanca, he was a missionary in Angola for nine years. He began teaching at the Faculty of Theology of the Catholic University of Lisbon in 1994 and is a member of its board since 2002. He is parish vicar in the Parish of S. Domingos de Benfica, in Lisbon, since 1997 and from that year on, he has also been a member of the Prior Provincial of the Order of Preachers in Portugal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The cycle is organized by the Landscapes, Heritage and Territory Laboratory (Lab2PT), by the Center for Communication and Society Studies (CECS), by the Interdisciplinary Center for Social Sciences (CICS.
