How do tourists absorb, transform and assimilate what they see and experience? What are the cultural, social and economic impacts of this relationship?&nbsp;<em>Cultures and Tourism: Reflections on Heritage, the Arts and Intercultural Communication<\/em>&nbsp;addresses these and other questions and assembles 21 articles, selected from the corpus of papers presented at the international congress \u201cCultura e Turismo: Desenvolvimento Nacional, Promo\u00e7\u00e3o da Paz e Aproxima\u00e7\u00e3o Entre Na\u00e7\u00f5es\u201d (Culture and Tourism: National Development, Peace Promotion and Rapprochement Between Nations; 2018, Mozambique).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This work includes contributions from researchers from various continents and comprises four sections, under the topics \u201cTourism, Culture and Art\u201d, \u201cTourism, Development and Communication\u201d; \u201cCultural Heritage: Festivities, Handicrafts and Gastronomy\u201d and \u201cTourism Routes and Landscapes\u201d.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The book&nbsp;Cultures and Tourism: Reflections on Heritage, the Arts and Intercultural Communication, edited by Mois\u00e9s de Lemos Martins and Ros\u00e2nia da Silva, has just been published, with support by Cultures Past &amp; Present.
