Struggling newspapers sell off old headquarters

Once, it were the main symbols of pride and influence of newspapers, situated in the heart of the cities, with statures identical to other large public buildings. But, increasingly, many of the buildings that served as the headquarters of the major North American newspapers are now being offered for sale as a symbol of despair of an industry that looks for new ways to increase revenue.

In recent months, The Washington Post, for example, has offered to sell its headquarters in Washington downtown, along with three other buildings.
