Divina Frau-Meigs

Divina Frau-Meigs is a Professor at the University Sorbonne Nouvelle. She graduated in the University of Sorbonne, Stanford University (Palo Alto) and the Annenberg School for Communications (University of Pennsylvania, in Philadelphia). Media sociologist, she is a specialist in content and risky behaviors (violence, pornography, information, media panics, etc) as well as issues of reception and use of information technology and communication (acculturation, education, regulation). At the New Sorbonne, she is the director of CREW (international research group on the English-speaking world), where she coordinates the team on the media in globalization. It is also an active member of CIM (the research group on media and communications) and participates in the Institute of Communication Sciences (CNRS).

She created and directs the master programme AIGEME (Computer Applications: Management, Media Education, E-learning) with a double specialty, “engineering distance learning” and “engineering media education”, with online courses for learners of French-speaking countries and other regions.
