Formerly a journalist, José Rebelo has a PhD and Aggregation in Sociology, Communication and Culture area. He is Director of the PhD Program in Communication Sciences of ISCTE. He was in charge for several investigations in the field of media, namely “Sociological profile of Portuguese Journalists” and “Social Representations and Professional Young Journalists in Portugal”, supported by the Foundation for Science antd Technology (FCT); “Media Reception Studies” and “Privacy, intimacy and violence in the Media”, commissioned by ERC.
