Ramos-Horta wants Magalhães computers in East Timor

SOL, February 6th, 2012

According to the online edition of the SOL newspaper, the President of East Timor, José Ramos-Horta, says that JP Sá Couto “can give a big boost to the dream of computerizing Timor, giving each child and young Timorese a [Magalhães] computer”.

On an invitation from Ramos-Horta, the manager of the factory that produces Magalhães computers, João Paulo Sá Couto, visited the Asian country to “explore ideas of true collaboration,” between the parts, explained the President of East Timor to the agency Lusa. Yet to negotiate the possibility of exporting the laptops to Timor-Leste, JP Sá Couto gave away 200 Magalhães computers to Timorese institutions.
