Call for chapters closed
We announce that the call for chapters for the ebook, “Digital Literacy, Technology and Social Inclusion: making sense of one-to-one computer programmes around the world” is now closed.

Magalhães laptops used by British police
Close to 1,500 English police vehicles are equipped with Magalhães computers, manufactured by JP Sá Couto which is preparing to sell more 20,000 units by the end of the year.
According to Diário de Notícias, the company revealed to Lusa that the laptop is the "ideal system for emergency cars, police and other business areas to explore."

The company that produces Magalhães computers, now called JP - Inspiring Knowledge, and the construction company of prefabs, CAPA, just donated a school named Magalhães, located in Dili, East Timor.
The Timorese president, Taur Matan Ruak, who today inaugurated the new school, thanked the support of the Portuguese companies to education and training of Timorese children, according to the news site dnotícias.pt.

Exame Magazine considers JP IK national leader in technology sales
According to the press published on the company's website, the Exame magazine published a ranking in which JP Inspiring Knowledge (IK-JP) is in 67th place of the top 500 companies nationwide.
As in the market for technology sales, the company leads the top-selling, just after brands like Samsung and IBM in second and third, respectively.
