The Hungarian portal of informatics, logout.hu, published this month a detailed analysis of the Albacomp Classmate PC, the name given to the Magalhães computer in Hungary, which has been distributed to Hungarian primary schools.

Spent almost 60 million and less than a half of distributed computers
Of the 400 million originally earmarked for the provision and acquisition of equipment and services under the Technological Plan for Education (PTE), it was spent almost 60 million euros (16.12%) only in the 'e.escolinha' project, reveals an audit report of the Courtof Auditors to the PTE, published last week.

According to Público newspaper, the Foundation for Mobile Communications (FCM) which managed the programs 'e.escola' and 'e.escolinha', "is one of the 578 foundations that are still in the final log entries", published in the census by the government and released yesterday by the Ministry of Finances.
Once the census is concluded, the government is now preparing to begin the evaluation process to be completed within two months.

The National Public Procurement Agency will acquire more than a thousand laptops to equip schools of the 1st cycle of basic education in the autonomous region of Azores.
