Almeirim launches campaign for Magalhães adoption

TSF, August 24th, 2012

The Almeirim City Council wants to reuse Magalhães computers be used by students of the 1st cycle of basic education.

The campaign “We adopt Magalhães”, beginning in late July this year, wants to collect at least 75 computers to ensure that all children who have not benefited from the program ‘e.escolinha’, can use the computer in the classroom.

Once students who have entered the last year for the 1st cycle no longer received the computer, the “teachers begin to notice that there are differences in skills between those who had the Magalhães and those who had not,” told the vice president of autarchy, Pedro Ribeiro, to TSF.

“With these 75 computers and the ability to have three classes running at the same time, we can move the computers so that they can be used by all schools and classrooms,” explained the mayor.

Recall that the program of distribution of the Magalhães computer was suspended by the current government in 2011.
