Starting tomorrow, will be presented to the public the results of the project "Navigating with Magalhães: Study on the impact of digital media on children" under the 2nd Congress on Literacy, Media and Citizenship (LMC 2013) at the Pavilion of Knowledge in Lisbon.

JP-IK offers classroom with Magalhães laptops to Jordan
The company that produces the Magalhães computer, JP Inspiring Knowledge, announced today on the website of the company, the signature of a memorandum of understanding with the Jordan Education Initiative a nonprofit foundation, chaired by the Queen of Jordan.
Still in the visit to the Middle East, the company states that they offered to the foundation of Jordan, a classroom equipped with Magalhães computers, collaborative software and an interactive whiteboard.

Timeline of Magalhães laptop highlighted in CECS
The fortieth edition, of March 2013 of the newsletter "Comunicação & Sociedade" from the Communication and Society Research Centre (CECS), University of Minho, highlighted the timeline that depicts major events around the Magalhães laptop, since the emergence of the Technological Plan for Education in 2007 to the present.

Venezuela: Canaima laptops used in election campaign
The successor of Hugo Chávez to the presidency of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, is using Magalhães computers, locally known as Canaima, to promote the political campaign.
According to Agência Lusa, in the newspaper Expresso, the candidate for President, Nicolás Maduro said that if the opposition wins the elections, Venezuelans will no longer benefit from the program of distributing laptops.
