Transport
Plane: The nearest airport is Sá Carneiro Airport - about 50 km from Braga. Transportation to Braga can be done by taxi (about 40 minutes, 45 € -70 €) or by train from the city of Oporto (Porto-station Campanhã).
To make the journey between the airport and the central station (Campanhã) you can use bus No. 56 (20 in 20 minutes), or the Aerobus (from 30 to 30 minutes).
There is a direct bus between airport and Braga. Each trip takes up to 50 minutes, at a cost of € 8/14. For more information visit www.getbus.eu
Coach: If you arrive by bus to Braga, the better is to stop at the central bus station and then take a taxi to your destination (campus or hotel). There are taxis at the exit of the Central Bus Station.
Train: there are trains from Porto to Braga almost every hour. You may find details of this service at www.cp.pt. You can also call the sales line 808 208 208.
There is a bus that makes the TUB direct link between the Train Station and the University of Minho, known as circuit 43.
Car: if you come from North or South, you should use the motorway A3 (Porto-Valencia) and exit in Braga-South (coming from South) or Braga West (coming from North). Then if you go to the campus, follow the road information boards that indicate BRAGA-EAST, CHAVES, or the UNIVERSITY.
