Call for Papers


Proposals/abstracts are welcome addressing any of the following thematic topics:

The conference welcomes contributions based on a renewed and inventive social‑ethnographic focus from different disciplinary, theoretical and methodological approaches, attentive to a diversity of contexts, and addressing four broad themes:

  1. the centrality and multidimensionality of work and its relation with the modes of learning techniques and passing them on;
  2. the production and circulation of techniques and the processes of their acceptance and/ or of resisting them;
  3. techniques, social risk and political and ethical dilemmas;
  4. the world, the globalization process, its causes, manifestations and effects

 

Papers must be submitted by 15 July 2010 and should contain a maximum of 300 words. Authors will be notified of the acceptance of their papers by the scientific board by 15 August 2010. Full papers must be submitted by 30 September 2010. 


Working languages:
Portuguese, French, English.

 

Instructions for the proposals/ abstract submissions using EasyChair:

  • If you do not have an EasyChair account or have problems to log in then click here.
  • Go to http://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=icwtw2010 and log in.
  • Select “New Submission”.
  • Fill the form about your Address for Correspondence.
  • Fill one form for each author.
  • Fill the forms about paper Title, Abstract and other information.
  • If you submit only an abstract, then tick the only abstract box, else upload the paper.
  • If you filled out the form, review all your anwsers and press the ‘Submit Paper’ button below.
  • After submission you will see a page with some information like this:
    • Paper # <number of you submission>
    • Title: <title of you paper>
    • Keywords: <list of keywords>
    • Abstract: <you abstract>
    • Time: <time of submission>
    • Fax: <you fax number>
    • Address: <your address>
    • Authors:
    • Name Email Country Affiliation

  • You will receive an e-mail notifying your submission.
  • After the first submission accepted, your paper number appear on top of the page
  • Click on this paper link to get in the right of the page two link: “Update Information” and “Update Authors”.
