The University of Minho is situated in the district of Braga, on the northern coastline of Portugal. It has two campi, which are located in the two main cities: Braga and Guimarães. They combine tradition and history with a modern and cosmopolitan way of life.
The Conference will be held at the Gualtar Campus of the University of Minho in Braga, Portugal. Braga is the main city of the Minho region and it is limited by the Spanish Galicia at North and by the Douro River (Rio Douro). Tourist information for Braga can be found here.
The University of Minho has a student population of 16,000 (2,000 are postgraduate). The University has 1,200 teachers and 600 administrative and technical staff. The Communication and Society Research Centre is a multidisciplinary Research Unit working in the field of Communication Sciences and the only one in Portugal, in this expertise field, classified as ´Excellent’ by the International Evaluation Panels of the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT).
The Multimedia Auditorium is equipped with all necessary multimedia facilities for presentations, as well as Internet access, including wireless connection. The campus has several cafes, bars and a restaurant.
